In the long term, we aim to help people unlock their potential to make rapid, large-scale change.
I am convinced that the Alliance offers the platform for maximizing the impact of my time and energy contribution to the world over time. I want to be part of it and grow with it. They take your commitment seriously and will hold your feet to the fire. But it's just a few minutes per week and I've found every project thus far to be self-enriching and meaningful.
On the whole, the world is not going in the right direction. We need new ideas to change that, and the Alliance is just that. But it will work only if we all participate.
There is an inability to leverage collective will towards problems that almost everybody agrees exist (severe wealth inequality; climate change; political polarization to name a few). I think this is mostly the result of individuals not having clear actions that can affect the relevant issues. The Alliance is the natural solution to this.

We caused 11 cafe locations to adopt bring-your-own-cup policies by helping them attain media recognition.
We submitted 3 formal comments on U.S. federal AI policy dockets, informed by member and expert opinions.
We showed that AI companies violate privacy expectations by running a small experiment with friends and family.
We raised $2,702 for Helen Keller International by making small adjustments to our personal spending habits.
We collected and recycled 57 kg (126 lbs) of e-waste from around our own homes.
We helped a small electronics company replace two components with environmentally friendly alternatives in exchange for feedback on their product.
